What's Supported, What's Not

OASIS supports, as a minimum hardware platform, Pentium III machines with at least 128 MB of RAM.

On the Mac front, the requirements are as follows: PowerPC 200 MHz 603e processor, 64 MB of RAM, 4 GB hard drive. It must also run OS 8.1 or higher.

Quotas

Some of you will know by now that we have run out of room on our servers and that now we have to implement a quota system. Faculty get 2 GB each, staff get 1 GB and graduate students get 500 MB. For most folks that is more than enough. For others, especially users whose work centers on images, it is not. Contact your local liaison to discuss possible options if you find you have more materials than space.
